This is a call for images that celebrate the Pinelands National Reserve and reveal a wilderness that is largely hidden in the mostly densely populated state in the nation. Our hope is that this exhibit exposes people to this lovely and under-appreciated part of our state and will inspire exploration and action on its behalf.
The Pinelands Preservation Alliance is pleased to announce our second annual juried photographic exhibition. Black and white and color images taken within the boundaries of the New Jersey Pinelands National Reserve (see map) depicting its landscape, flora, wildlife, communities and people will be accepted. The exhibit will hang in the newly renovated barn at the PPA Headquarters in Southampton, NJ.

The show will be on display through August 25th and is worth a visit for all of the accepted entries, many from my colleagues at the South Jersey Camera Club.

The GROW! Show, the 2009 Community Juried Show at Off the Wall, continues a rich tradition. This fourth annual event follows previous renewals that have undoubtedly turned heads -- and even included exclamation marks -- following, as it does, SIXSIXSIX, Go Figure! and Enter Digital.
But GROW! is definitely marching to a different drummer because it asks more questions than it dares to answer.
While "green art" and "eco-art" are probably the "in" modifiers to describe the show's theme, GROW!, from its submission phase, tested the boundaries of how artists grapple with and re-purpose concepts, recycle images and find deeper meaning on trash night.
